📍 Łódź, Poland | 📅 13–14 December 2024
In the heart of Poland, just before the festive season lit up the city with warmth and lights, our project team gathered in Łódź for a productive two-day Transnational Project Meeting.
Day 1 — exploring ideas, sharing visions
The meeting opened with a formal welcome and an overview of the agenda and goals for the two days. Partners were introduced to the historical and cultural context of Łódź through a short presentation, which provided valuable insight into the host city.
The first working session focused on reviewing the interim report, where partners discussed the current state of the project, reflected on what had been achieved so far, and identified areas for improvement. It was a constructive opportunity to align expectations and responsibilities across the partnership.
In the afternoon, attention shifted to the creation of an instructive educational video. Each partner presented initial ideas for content, format, and structure. This session also included discussion around the division of tasks and dissemination strategies.
Subsequently, partners presented concepts for a series of improvisational workshops, aiming to support educational activities for young people. The group collaboratively discussed possible formats and determined the next steps for content development and testing.
The day concluded with a brief summary of outcomes and a look ahead to the following day. In the evening, participants enjoyed a joint dinner featuring traditional Polish cuisine, followed by a guided city tour and visit to the Łódź Christmas Market, offering informal networking opportunities in a cultural setting.
Day 2 – cultural activities and content development
Saturday began with a field visit in the city centre of Łódź, including stops at the Film Museum and Hall of Fame, connecting participants with the city’s strong ties to the film industry and creative arts — themes relevant to the development of project materials.
After lunch, the team returned to the working space to develop scenarios for the educational video, refining storylines and message delivery to ensure consistency and impact.
The final working session focused on the creation of interactive educational materials, including early-stage planning of online escape rooms and other digital resources. These tools aim to promote drug prevention in an engaging and accessible format for young audiences.
Outcomes and next steps
The TPM in Łódź was productive and goal-oriented. Key outcomes included:
- Completion of the interim report review
- Agreement on the structure and timeline for the educational video
- Draft concepts for improvised workshop scenarios
- Initial planning for interactive tools and escape rooms
- Strengthened cooperation and role clarity among partners
The meeting reaffirmed the partners’ commitment to creating impactful, youth-oriented prevention materials and maintaining momentum in the second phase of the project.
